Tapestry Opera, Canada’s leading contemporary opera company, presents its most ambitious work to date – both in scale and in scope. Oksana G. (May 24 – 30, 2017) stars Ukrainian-Canadian soprano Natalya Gennadi and tells the wrenching story of a young Ukrainian woman lured into the world of sex trafficking by a recruiter. This is a modern, global issue and one that is happening here in Canada with hundreds of Canadians disappearing into the dark underbelly of sex trafficking each year.
