The Glyndebourne Opera Festival’s world premiere of opera HAMLET, by Brett Dean to a libretto by Canadian Stage Artistic Director Matthew Jocelyn has garnered rave reviews from the press.
Starring Canadian soprano Barbara Hannigan as Ophelia, the opera premiered at the UK’s Glyndebourne Opera Festival on June 11 and already has rumours of interest from major opera houses around the world for subsequent revivals and productions – a shining achievement for our Canadian opera artists abroad.
Canadian audiences will be able to live stream the final performance directly from the Glyndebourne Festival Website on July 6 at 1PM (EST). It will also be simultaneously screened in movie theatres across England.
