Producers David Mirvish and Junkyard Dog Productions have announced the cast of the Canadian production of the Tony Award-winning musical Come From Away.
The musical, which explores the lives of a group of stranded travelers whose planes are diverted to Newfoundland during the events of September 11, will begin performances February 13, 2018 at the Royal Alexandra Theatre as part of the 2017–2018 Mirvish Subscription Season.
Before opening in Toronto, the production will play in Winnipeg at the John Hirsch Mainstage - Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre for a four-week engagement January 4–February 3. 2018.
The cast will comprise Saccha Dennis (Sousatzka), Steffi Didomenicantonio (Spring Awakening national tour), Barbara Fulton (Stratford Festival’s A Little Night Music), Dora Award winner Lisa Horner (Mirvish’s Kinky Boots), James Kall (Mirvish’s Kinky Boots), George Masswohl (Young People’s Theatre Seussical), Ali Momen (Deepa Mehta’s film Beeba Boys), Jack Noseworthy (The Sweet Smell of Success), Cory O’Brien (Stratford Festival’s A Chorus Line), Kristen Peace (Mirvish’s Kinky Boots), Eliza-Jane Scott (Degrassi), Kevin Vidal (Sunnyside), Susan Dunstan (Come From Away on Broadway), Kate Etienne (Little Women), Amir Haidar (Young People’s Theatre James And The Giant Peach), Jeff Madden (Jersey Boys Dancap Productions), David Silvestri (Mirvish’s Kinky Boots), and Cailin Stadnyk (Supernatural).
Single ticket sales for the Winnipeg engagement begin July 31, 2017. Single ticket sales for the Toronto engagement will be announced at a later date.
