Following a sold out inaugural performance at The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 344 on July 31, Nightwood is thrilled to continue a series of pop-up performances by 7th Cousins. A show whose central question asks "How can we be together?" seems more timely and more pertinent than ever." 7th Cousins is a vital piece of storytelling, told through both the personal and political perspective of two Canadian women who walked a 700 km journey through the Bible Belt of Pennsylvania, tracing the migration of their Mennonite ancestors. Described as an automythography, 7th Cousins explores the truth and tales of a real and imagined past, present and future.
Missed 7th Cousins in July? No worries! You have three chances to hang out with the cousins on September 23 and 24. Even if you've seen it before, there will be new stories to hear as the cousins reflect on their journey in this engaging, inventive and thoughtful piece of storytelling.
