On his 69th birthday Krapp enters into a dark room and sits quietly. After some time he eats a banana and listens to tapes on a reel-to-reel recorder. The tapes document stories from his past and Krapp is forced to examine moments of lost love, wasted ambition, and mortality. Krapp’s Last Tape highlights the best of Beckett, showcasing his signature blend of dark humor and existential musing. Performed by iconic Canadian actor Bob Nasmith (Theatre Passe Muraille, Video Cabaret) the show is a stark examination of life compared to living.

“Bob Nasmith is a theatre warrior and a legend. He wears the story of his life on his body and in his voice where I recognize Passe Muraille's master of our tenacious spirit of resistance. Beckett's play is a fascinating archaeological dig into the life of a man. When the two meet on stage, I will go, eagerly, to watch entropy in action. To discover and to think. And to witness the world as it falls apart.”
