This February, the two esteemed organizations will team up for another spectacular concert at the newly renamed Hamilton Family Theatre Cambridge (formerly Dunfield Theatre Cambridge) featuring iconic hits made famous by legendary performers like Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Dean Martin, Paul Anka and more. Come Fly With Me, a romantic tribute to the world’s best crooners, will be on stage for two performances only on Tuesday, February 13 at 7:30 p.m. and Wednesday, February 14 at 7:30 p.m.
Backed by the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra, singer Michael Vanhevel will take audiences on a sentimental journey through a hit parade of crooner classics including songs like “Fly Me to the Moon,” “Mona Lisa,” “Moon River,” “Put Your Head on My Shoulder,” “Come Fly With Me,” and other love songs arranged by the late great Howard Cable.

Howard Cable, Arranger
Howard Cable (December 15, 1920 – March 30, 2016) was a conductor, arranger, music director, composer, and radio and television producer. During his illustuious career, he arranged, composed and conducted everything from Big Band to Broadway. He had the privilege of working with Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Count Basie, Stan Getz, Bob Hope, Danny Kay, Victor Borge, Peggy Lee, and many other celebrated artists. Cable composed and arranged the original theme for the Hockey Night in Canada television broadcast. He was the conductor for the early CBC TV variety programs General Electric Showtime and Mr. Show Business. In addition he conducted and arranged music for various CBC radio and TV programs in the 1960s. From 1971 to 1985 he was host of the program Howard Cable Presents heard on St. Catharines radio station "CHRE-fm", and for most of the years it was the station's highest rated program. It was Howard Cable's longtime relationship with Canadian Brass that put him on the international stage through numerous recordings and radio appearances. In 1999, he was made a Member of the Order of Canada in recognition of his "legendary contribution to the Canadian music industry". He developed a longstanding relationship with Drayton Entertainment Artistic Director Alex Mustakas and arranged the music for multiple productions of Swing! and Big Band Legends. Michael Vanhevel, Vocalist
Michael Vanhevel is an up-and-coming “Crooner” who has been a featured soloist with several symphony orchestras across Canada including the Niagara Symphony, Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra, Kingston Symphony, Windsor Symphony and more. He has performed in several different professional venues across the province including the St. Jacobs Country Playhouse, the Dunfield Theatre Cambridge, the Stratford Festival Theatre, the Victoria Playhouse Petrolia and, of course, the Huron Country Playhouse in his hometown of Grand Bend. His concerts Come Fly With Me, It Had to Be You and The Best of the Crooners have recieved rave reviews from audiences and critics alike. In addition to concert performances, Michael has appeared on stage in the musicals Big Band Legends (Drayton Entertainment) and Million Dollar Quartet (Magnus Theatre/Thousand Islands Playhouse). He continues to perform both locally and nationally in a variety of venues. Michael has released three albums including "Michael Vanhevel Intimate", "Michael Vanhevel On the Rocks" and "Micheal Vanhevel Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas."
