November 7-25, 2018, Alumnae Theatre Company presents 3 full-length, thought-provoking and daring plays developed in-house through our New Ideas Festival or our New Play Development program.
Each week showcases an original script - approx 90 mins running time. Post-show discussions and talkbacks spark fresh insights into making theatre. Climb on up to the 3rd floor Studio!
Now in its sixth year, FireWorks is recognized for its adventurous programming and innovative staging.
Performances: Wed – Sat at 8pm; matinées at 2pm on Sat & Sun.

Nov 7-11: “The Pigeon” by Chloë Whitehorn; directed by Victoria Shepherd.
Cast: Liz Best, Marina Gomes, John Shubat.
Jegger (a young punk) and Malone (a middle-aged woman) have nothing in common except their hatred for the woman they both scheme to destroy. They say revenge is a dish best served cold … and sometimes it’s like a box of chocolates.

Nov 14-18: “Moving On” by Elmar Maripuu; directed by Helly Chester.
Cast: Conor Bradbury, Lauren Fields, Anastasia Pioro, Casey Romanin,
Kyle’s about to pitch his brilliant invention to a wealthy investor - a shyster who bilked Kyle’s friends and family. Then there’s the ex-girlfriend in the box, hiding from her pot-dealing brother who’s sworn to do Kyle serious injury. And is it really just business between Kyle and Shelley, who set him up with the shyster?
