Soulpepper Theatre Company today announced extensions to four mainstage productions in 2019, including two World Premieres and two Tony Award-winning plays, due to an overwhelming subscriber response. Extended productions include: the World Premiere of Rose, Soulpepper's highly anticipated original musical from co-creators Mike Ross and Sarah Wilson; the World Premiere of Wedding at Aulis by Sina Gilani, an immersive and intimate new adaptation of the Greek tragedy Iphigenia in Aulis by Euripides; Copenhagen, the Tony Award-winning drama by Michael Frayn; and Tracy Letts’ riveting Tony Award-winning family epic August: Osage County.

Tickets are already on sale for Soulpepper’s first half of programming in the 2018-19 season. Soulpepper’s 2018 season continues with the Canadian Premiere of Caryl Churchill’s Escaped Alone in co-production with Necessary Angel Theatre Company on stage now, the upcoming World Premiere of Silk Bath Collective’s Yellow Rabbit at the end of November, and the Soulpepper Family Festival beginning in December.
