timeshare productions today announced that

(Romeo & Juliet, Noises Off!) in the award-winning solo show
Maggie & Pierre
by Linda Griffiths with Paul Thompson
this May in Toronto, following an acclaimed run at the Thousand
Islands Playhouse in 2017. It will also travel to London, ON in
2019 as part of the Grand Theatre’s recently announced 18/19
season.
Maggie & Pierre

They were the world’s most captivating—and unlikeliest—couple. In
this tour-de-force one-woman play, Canada’s Linda Griffiths
unforgettably captures the global fascination around Margaret and
Pierre Trudeau, and the highs and lows of their explosive
relationship.
Maggie & Pierre
will be performed by Kaitlyn Riordan: “When I first read this play,
it sent an electric shock to my spirit, touching me as a Canadian,
a woman, and a lover of great storytelling,” she said. “I really
admire Linda’s writing, and in this real-life Canadian saga she
invites us to commune with the past in a way that happens to shine
a massive spotlight on the present. It’s so exciting to watch
people my age, who didn't live through the Maggie and Pierre era,
fall in love with the play and discover in such detail the story of
this extraordinary couple. After all, these two produced our
current Prime Minister, their first born, on Christmas day. You
cannot make this stuff up.”
Maggie & Pierre
will be designed by
Jung-Hye Kim
(set and costumes),
Oz Weaver
(lighting), and
Steven Lafond
(sound).
Ticket sales for
Maggie & Pierre
begin now with a limited time offer: general
admission tickets are only $12 until March 31. As of April 1, all
tickets will be $22, with a $17 option for Students and Arts
Workers (valid ID required).

seeking to support one another in the creation, development, and
production of new work. We don’t believe in defining ourselves by
the kind of work that we make, who it is for, or how often it is
made. Our work is about discovery and the creation of
opportunity.
