Loose Tea Music Theatre’s popular improvised game-based opera show continues its regular monthly slot at Bad Dog Comedy Theatre as part of their Sunday night lineup. Each month on the 3rd Sunday at 9:30 pm, following the Alumni Show, Loose Tea’s professional opera singers will break out their improv skills in a series of games inspired by the popular TV show.
“Whose Opera Is It Anyway?” is a hilarious marriage of opera and comedy where professional opera singers will sing about the craziest and most ridiculous things or perform a famous opera in under 3 minutes. Whether you’re an opera fan, or never seen opera before, you won’t want to miss this unique show featuring Canada’s only improv opera group!
There are three dates remaining before the show breaks for the summer, travelling to Ottawa for the Music and Beyond Festival for three shows, and the Hamilton Fringe Festival for seven shows: Sunday, April 15th, Sunday, May 20th and Sunday, June 17th, all at 9:30 pm.
“Whose Opera Is It Anyway?” is hosted by Schmopera's Gregory Finney, with Natasha Fransblow at the piano and Loose Tea’s cast of performers: Amanda Cogan, Adanya Dunn, Gillian Grossman, Rachel Krehm, Erin Stone, and Michael York.
Tickets are $12 and available online through http://baddogtheatre.com or at the door. Bad Dog Comedy Theatre is located at 875A Bloor Street West, just east of Ossington.
